Poseidon Giannopoulos gave an interview to journalist Giorgos Skrobolas and spoke, among other things, about his television collaborations and, in particular, about the difficult season he spent alongside Eleni Tsolaki.

More specifically, Poseidon Giannopoulos stated: “I didn’t have a good time. I hinted at this a few months ago. It wasn’t just about Eleni, perhaps; I don’t know what happened. I didn’t have a good time at all. Not at all. It was a difficult season. I don’t know what was to blame.”

Were there moments back then when you felt uncomfortable on air or that something was offensive to you?

Of course. Very much so. Many times.

Did you discuss that?

No. What is there to discuss? At some point toward the end of the season I did discuss it, yes. When I had reached my limit even further.

With her?

No. You can say just one thing so the other person gets it. Look, I don’t know—in the end, when people do something, they can’t help but realize it. I felt it. And you know what? You start to wonder—I take it out on myself more. You say, “Why do I have to put up with this? Why?”

Was this season the hardest you’ve ever had on TV?

Yes, definitely, definitely, very, very hard. Very, very difficult, because I often felt insulted on the air. And precisely because I didn’t want it to become an issue, I didn’t want it to blow up, I played the fool. Because I knew very well that if I reacted the way I wanted to, it would cause a huge uproar and become a major issue for weeks on end. But I didn’t want that.
