The reaction of presenter Giorgos Liagas was strong after singer Argyros Liakopoulou’s allegations of a dog abuse and neglect case allegedly involving a well-known music composer.
Through his show, Liagas expressed his outrage, stressing that if the allegations are confirmed, he will not give the man a platform again.
“We must always keep a backseat because there is a presumption of innocence,” he said initially, noting, however, that the images that have seen the light of day are a source of intense concern.
He then clarified his position by saying:
“If it turns out that this man really had left the dog in this condition, as long as I have a TV show on the air, I will never host him again.”
The presenter added that regardless of one’s talent or professional success, such behaviour cannot be accepted, stating that he does not wish to be seen on television again if the allegations prove to be true.
The case is in the spotlight as the official developments and investigation of the allegations by the relevant authorities are awaited.
