The funeral service of former Minister Giorgos Souflias was held at the Church of the Annunciation of Theotokos.
Giorgos Souflias passed away at the age of 85, leaving behind a long political career. He was one of the most prominent members of New Democracy and served for many years as a minister in critical portfolios, playing an important role in both the party and governmental course of the party.
His presence in the Greek political scene has been long-standing and decisive, with particular contributions on issues of infrastructure, spatial planning and public administration, while maintaining an active role in political events for decades.
The ceremony will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
