Vladimiros Kyriakidis took a special TV “ride” with Niki Lymperaki, in the new episode of the show “Do we go for a ride?” which was aired on MEGA.
During the discussion, the well-known actor looked back on key moments in his life and career, with particular emphasis on his childhood and his family experiences, which – as he said – had a decisive influence on the way he perceives life today.
Vladimiros Kyriakides spoke about the difficult family environment in which he grew up, describing a daily life full of tensions and conflicts between his parents. As he noted, their relationship was particularly difficult, with tension alternating with periods of silence, a fact that deeply marked his memory of his childhood.
Despite the difficulty of these experiences, he stressed that this particular circumstance ultimately had a formative effect on him, as it prompted him to develop a different way of thinking and seek a way out through art and theatre.
As he said, family for him is not limited to biological ties, but is defined by where “the heart belongs.” In this context, he referred with love to his wife, Effie Mouriki, but also to the theatre itself, which he described as a space of expression and personal liberation.
The actor explained that through his theatrical career he managed to overcome phobias and face life with greater inner balance, using the “borrowed lives” of the roles as a tool for personal development.
He concluded by noting that now, in his 60s, he feels calmer and more at peace with himself, choosing to walk philosophically and always looking forward, without being trapped in the past.
