Three foreign traffickers were arrested in areas of Evros and Rodopi, by officers of the Alexandroupolis and Rodopi Police Directorates, for pushing illegal immigrants inside the country on three separate occasions.
Specifically, on the Egnatia road between Kipoi and Alexandroupolis, men of the Soufli Border Guard Department of the Alexandroupolis Police Directorate, in cooperation with Frontex officials, arrested a foreigner, who was found to be driving a private car and illegally transporting five illegal immigrants inland.
A few hours later, on the Ormenio-Ardanios highway, men of the Border Guard Department of the Alexandroupolis Police Directorate, in cooperation with Frontex officials, arrested a foreigner, who was illegally transporting six illegal immigrants into the country in a private car.
Finally, on a provincial road in Rodopi, men of the Sapes Border Guard Department of the Rodopi Police Directorate arrested a foreigner who was illegally transporting five illegal immigrants in a private car.
The irregulars confiscated the above vehicles and mobile phones.
