Resistance in Albania over a plan to create a luxury tourist complex in the protected area of Zvernec has continued for the fifth consecutive day, with hundreds of citizens taking to the streets again.
Protesters gathered at Tirana’s Skenderbey Square and then headed to the prime minister’s palace, carrying the message “Our voice, our dignity, our future.”
During the march, according to Albanian media, there were strong condemnations against the government and personally against Prime Minister Edi Rama, according to Albanian media. Among other things, those gathered chanted slogans such as “Rama resign” and “Albania is not for sale.”
