Police authorities in Florina have arrested a 24-year-old woman and a minor, accused of stealing goods from a department store in the city.
According to police, the two women entered a department store on Friday morning pretending to be customers and removed various products worth about 300 euros without paying the price. After searches and evaluation of evidence by the Department of Crime Detection and Investigation of Florina, they were identified and arrested in the city of Florina.
A 59-year-old man is wanted for the same case, who allegedly acted as their accomplice, transporting them to the store in a vehicle and removing them after committing the act.
The ongoing preliminary investigation also revealed that the two arrested women, along with the 59-year-old, allegedly had removed products from the same store in the previous two months, with the total value of the stolen goods amounting to about 12,000 euros.
At the same time, the 45-year-old mother of the minor was also arrested for neglect of supervision of a minor.
The preliminary investigation is being continued by the Department of Crime Investigation and Detection of Crimes of Florina, while the relevant case file will be submitted to the Prosecutor of the Florina Plenary Court.
