Miltos Tendoglou competed in Limassol at the Cyprus International Meeting, making another great performance in the long jump with a performance of 8.49 metres.

With this jump, the top Greek jumper surpassed his own world-leading performance this year, which was 8.46m from China, showing once again his excellent form this season.

The athlete, who trains under the guidance of George Pomasky, did not have an ideal start to the competition as he faced minor difficulties with his form, recording jumps of 8.04m, 8.14m and an invalid attempt.

He then recorded 8.29m and 8.19m, before finishing with a superb final jump of 8.49m, the sixth best of his career and his best jump since 2024, when he reached 8.65m to win the gold medal at the European Championships in Rome.

The 28-year-old champion will continue his racing commitments by competing at the Diamond League in Rome.
