Donald Trump has made new threats to Iran, saying he will order the huge Iranian gas field in South Pars to be completely destroyed.

Donald Trump through a post on Truth Social supported the Israeli attack on Iran’s gas facility.

He stressed, however, that there would be a strike on the huge Iranian gas field in South Pars if Iran attacked Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility again, and claimed he knew nothing about this bombing of Israel.

Donald Trump’s post

.

“Israel, out of anger over what has happened in the Middle East, violently attacked a major facility known as the South Pars gas field in Iran. A relatively small portion of the field was hit. The United States had no knowledge of this attack and Qatar had no involvement whatsoever, nor did it know it was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran was not aware of this or any of the relevant facts regarding the attack on South Pars and unfairly and baselessly attacked part of Qatar’s LNG facility.

There will be no more attacks by Israel on the extremely important and valuable South Pars field unless Iran, naively, decides to attack the very innocent Qatar – in which case, the United States of America, with or without Israel’s help or consent, will massively blow up the entire South Pars gas field with a force and power that Iran has never seen or known. I do not want to allow this disaster because of the long term implications it will have for Iran’s future, BUT IF KATAR’S LNG is attacked again, I WILL NOT TAKE IT. Thank you for your attention to this issue. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

An Iranian state television report said that a missile hit a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Qatar in the early hours of Thursday (19.03.2026), which was already damaged yesterday.

“The refinery in Ras Lafan in Qatar was hit by a missile again and is burning,” the IRIB network said via Telegram.

Soon earlier, the emirate’s defence ministry said via X that “ballistic missiles fired from Iran (…) targeted the industrial city of Ras Lafan and caused damage.”
