A complaint of exposure of a minor against employees of a day-care center for the disabled in eastern Thessaloniki is being investigated by authorities, following an incident involving a 17-year-old girl.
According to a complaint submitted yesterday afternoon by the 52-year-old mother of the minor to the Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Thermaikos, the 17-year-old girl boarded a bus used by the structure for the transportation of people with disabilities, in order to go to her destination.
However, it was reported that the officials failed to disembark her at a predetermined point so that she could transfer to a second bus, which would take her to her final destination. As a result, the 17-year-old remained in the vehicle for about two hours without being noticed by the attendants and the transport officials.
The minor’s mother, realizing that the child had not reached her destination, contacted the police, filing a complaint against the employees involved. A police investigation into the case is underway to determine the exact circumstances under which the 17-year-old remained on the bus.
