Gogo Mastrokosta has lost the battle for life, as her health had seriously deteriorated recently.
In fact, she had been hospitalized for months at the “Evangelismos” hospital, as breast cancer had led her condition to be considered irreversible.
The news of her death was announced by her daughter, shortly after 1am, in a touching post:
“Today my dearest person passed away. My brightest soul, my best friend, the woman I was so lucky to call mom.
My mom was a true fighter. She never bent, never complained. She faced every difficulty with strength and dignity. Mom, I have nothing but pride and immense admiration for you. I hope one day to be just a little bit like you. You will always be my greatest role model.
I know that from now on you will be my guardian angel. I love you forever.”
She was joined by her husband, Traianos Dellas, their 18-year-old daughter Victoria, and close family and friends until the end.
