Russia’s latest attacks on Ukraine, in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denounced the use of an Oresnik ballistic missile, show “reckless nuclear acrobatics”, European Union foreign policy chief Kaya Kalash said today.

“Russia has reached a stalemate on the battlefield, so it is terrorizing Ukraine with deliberate attacks on city centers. These are heinous acts of terrorism aimed at killing as many civilians as possible,” Kallas wrote in X.

“Moscow is said to have used medium-range Oresnik ballistic missiles, systems designed to carry nuclear warheads, and this constitutes a political scare tactic and reckless nuclear acrobatics,” Kalas underlined.
