The 34-year-old former football player, Marios Economou, who was seriously injured in a car accident in Ioannina, is in the ICU of the University Hospital of Ioannina.
The accident occurred yesterday at noon outside the hospital “Hadjikosta”, when the motorbike driven by Marios Economou collided with a car.
The veteran footballer was immediately taken to “Hadjikosta”, where it was deemed necessary to transfer him to the University Hospital of Ioannina.
The first 48 hours are considered particularly critical for his state of health.

An angry post about the car accident with the serious injury of Marios Economou was made by a doctor working at the “Hadjikosta” hospital.
“A few days ago I mentioned the danger that exists when vehicles enter and exit Chatzikosta and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, today a young man is in danger of losing his life because someone did a U-turn,” surgeon Philippos Siacas wrote on Facebook.
“How many more have to pay the price because the municipality turns a deaf ear to prevent these kinds of accidents?”
