Former AEK Athens footballer Marios Economou is in a critical condition in intensive care after a serious motorbike accident in Ioannina.
According to initial information, the two-wheeler he was on collided, under unclear circumstances, with a private car. The veteran defender was seriously injured in the collision.
Oikonomou sustained serious head injuries and was immediately transferred to the University Hospital of Ioannina, where he is still in a serious condition.
