The worst outcome was the serious traffic accident that occurred this Friday morning (22.05.2026) on Athens – Sounion Avenue, as a man died.
More specifically, the accident occurred on Athens – Souniou Avenue at its junction with Alcyonides in Agia Marina when three cars collided sideways.
From the collision a 56-year-old man, the driver of one of the three cars, was seriously injured and was immediately taken to the Voula Asclepion Hospital with doctors trying to save him. Eventually they were unsuccessful and he breathed his last.
The other two drivers sustained very minor injuries.
