The Israeli army targeted Iran’s Security Council chief Ali Larijani, four Israeli officials said, adding that it was not immediately clear whether he was killed or wounded.
Larijani was one of the targets of strikes launched by the Israeli army last night in several areas of Iran, officials told Reuters.
Iran has yet to comment on these reports. If his death is confirmed, he would be the most senior Iranian official to be killed since Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who died on the first day of the war.
