Panathinaikos’ 87-91 home loss to Valencia in the Euroleague playoffs was a painful result for the team and its fans. Despite the dynamic presence and the players’ effort to impose their rhythm, crucial turnovers in the last minutes and the efficiency of the guests’ offense tipped the scales in favor of the Spanish team. Panathinaikos showed fighting spirit and quality for long periods of the game, but failed to manage the decisive phases properly, resulting in losing home advantage at such an important point of the series. Nevertheless, they remain 2-1 ahead in the individual games, still maintaining their lead for qualification.
