Russian President Vladimir Putin met today with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Russian media reported.
Vladimir Putin assured the Iranian foreign minister that Russia would do “everything” to help bring peace to the Middle East, during a meeting between the two men in St. Petersburg.
Putin said Russia hopes that the Iranian people will endure what he called the “difficult period” and that peace will prevail and that Russia will do everything for the interests of Iran and other countries in the region , state news agency RIA reported.
“For our part, we will do everything that serves your interests, the interests of all the peoples of the region, so that peace is achieved as soon as possible,” the Russian president told Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, according to Russian state media.
