A drone attack late last night targeted a military base at Baghdad International Airport, a base that until recently hosted troops of the US-led international coalition against jihadists, two officials in security forces told Agence France-Presse.
“A drone crashed outside the perimeter wall, into warehouses and temporary structures, causing a fire,” one of the sources said.
Since the start of the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran, pro-Iranian Iraqi groups have been carrying out attacks against US troops in Iraq and the Middle East.
