The Olympic facilities of Peania continue to be dynamically in the spotlight, sending another strong message of reboot for Greek sport. After a period of sluggish activity, the venues that were once a benchmark have come to life, hosting major events and attracting the interest of the sporting community.
At the heart of this renaissance is the OAKA, which, through the functional use of its facilities, confirms its role as a pillar for the development and support of sport in the country. The recent events, with the massive participation of athletes from all over Greece, are not only competitive events, but also a clear indication that these infrastructures can – once again – play a leading role.

The briefing by the Coordinating General Manager of OAKA, Konstantinos Haliori:
“The Olympic Facilities of Peania – OAKA regained life, pulse and intense sporting activity, hosting important events that highlighted their essential imprint in the sporting family of our country.
The Panhellenic Muay Thai Federation – P.O.M. held the National Muaythai Championships 2026, the top domestic event of the sport, on April 25 and 26, while the National Junior – Youth (-17) Championships in Sword Duel and Saber Weapons were held, with the participation of 256 athletes, in individual events on 25/04 and in team events on 26/04.
The facility was filled with voices, energy, effort and most importantly smiles. Smiles of athletes, coaches, families and people who live for sport every day and see in these facilities a place of development, creation and potential.
The reactivation of the Olympic Facilities of Peania is not only a sporting success, but also an essential contribution to the sustainable development of OAKA and the wider region. The utilization of the infrastructure, the hosting of high-level events and the continuous support of the federations strengthen sport and create added value for society.
The OAKA continues its mission. It continues to stand by the athletes, the athletes and their families. To support the daily effort, to offer opportunities, to strengthen the vision and to shape the future of Greek sport with consistency, responsibility and faith in the values of sport.”
