Without providing any evidence, US President Donald Trump said today that the US has “complete control” of the Strait of Hormuz and that the Strait is “tightly closed” until Iran reaches an agreement.
We have absolute control over the Strait of Hormuz. No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. They are “hermetically sealed” until Iran can strike a deal,” Trump wrote on Truth Social
He claimed that “Iran is having a hard time figuring out who their leader is! They just don’t know!”
He said he ordered the US Navy to “shoot and kill all vessels, no matter how small, that place mines” in the Strait of Hormuz.
“There should be no hesitation,” the US president wrote on Truth Social.
“Our minesweepers are cleaning up the Straits right now. I am ordering that this activity should continue, but at three times the current level,” he added.
