AEK Athens appear determined to return to the top of the Stoiximan Super League as they beat PAOK 3-0 at the Allwyn Arena, taking an important step towards the title.

The Union, continuing their excellent form, dominated against the Black and Whites and gained a strong lead with four rounds to go before the playoff finale.

The game started at a high tempo, with the first good moment belonging to AEK Athens just 4 minutes in, when Orbelin Pineda threatened, but Yannis Tsiftsis reacted well.

The Double-Headed Eagles’ dominance paid off on 36 minutes, with Zini setting up the play and Roberto Pereira contributing to its progression, which resulted in an own goal by Thomas Kenziora to make it 1-0.

In the second half, the game featured intense duels and several turnovers, with AEK maintaining control and creating the most important chances.

Despite the missed chances, AEK Athens maintained their dominance and cruised to an emphatic victory, sending a clear message for the rest of the league.
