Donald Trump assured today that Iran “cannot blackmail” the US, following Tehran’s announcement of a new blockade of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
“They still want to close the Strait,” the US president said while signing executive orders at the White House, referring to the Iranian leadership. “They can’t blackmail us,” he stressed.
Donald Trump spoke of “very good talks” aimed at a permanent cessation of hostilities in the Middle East.
“This is progressing very well and we will know more by the end of the day. We are talking to them and taking a strong stance.”
