Israeli strikes claimed the lives of at least 11 Palestinians, including two children, in the Gaza Strip today, according to health authorities in the enclave where a fragile ceasefire remains in place.
Four people were killed in a strike targeting a police vehicle in Gaza City, the Hamas-controlled Palestinian enclave’s interior ministry said. The dead include a three-year-old boy, Yahya al-Malahi, and a policeman. Nine bystanders were wounded, some of them seriously, according to the same source.
In the northern part of the Gaza Strip, near Jabalia, 14-year-old Adam Ahmed Halaah died due to Israeli gunfire, health authorities and his family said.
A few hours later, health officials said that five people were killed and several others were wounded due to an Israeli strike on the Al-Shati refugee camp in the western part of Gaza City.
An Israeli army spokesman confirmed the strike on the site, claiming it targeted Hamas militants.
At Al-Sifa Hospital, relatives gathered to say goodbye to the victims. Holding the body of his slain son in his arms, Muhlis al-Malahi said he was leaving a relative’s wedding when an Israeli aircraft struck a police vehicle. “What was his crime? He should be wearing a suit today (…) but he is wrapped in a bloody shroud,” the boy’s cousin Hunter al-Malahi erupted.
In the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said it had killed a gunman who had approached soldiers.
More than 750 Palestinians have been killed since October 10, 2025, when the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas went into effect, while five Israeli soldiers have died in the same period. Hamas and Israel have accused each other of violating the agreed ceasefire.
