Just hours before talks begin in Washington on Lebanon, Israel announced that within the next few days, the southern town of Bid Jebail will be under full Israeli military control.
Full operational control of the southern Lebanese town of Bid Jbale will be achieved within days, with Iranian-backed Hezbollah militants now having little ability to attack northern Israel from the area, an Israeli military official said today (13.04.2026).

“Only a small number of terrorists remain in the Bid Jebel area,” the officer added.
He also said the army “eliminated terrorists as they were leaving the hospital in Bid Jebail, and located many launchers and weapons.”
The Israeli army said it had already destroyed and captured the city’s stadium from which Hezbollah leaders often spoke.
