In a decision by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian armed forces are temporarily suspending operations on the Ukrainian front in honor of the Easter holiday. According to official information from Moscow, the ceasefire will begin at 16:00 on Saturday, April 11, and will end at midnight on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
The Russian leadership stressed that it expects Kiev to adopt a similar ceasefire stance for the same period, allowing the faithful to celebrate safely.
Already, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov have received the necessary instructions to implement the decision. Although Russian forces have been ordered to stop attacks on all fronts, a standing alert has been ordered to immediately counter any possible provocation or aggressive action by Ukraine during the Easter break.
