Some Lebanese hospitals may run out of life-saving medical wound kits within days, as stocks are nearly depleted following the massive casualties from the large-scale Israeli raids of the past day, the World Health Organization announced today.
“Some of the wound treatment supplies are in short supply and may run out in a few days,” Dr Abdinashir Abubaka, the WHO spokesman in Lebanon, told Reuters.
Life-saving wound treatment kits include bandages, antibiotics and anaesthetics to treat patients who suffered war-related injuries, he said.
