Early Monday morning, the Greek PATRIOT guided missile battery serving in Saudi Arabia (ELDISA) shot down an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
The operation was conducted by launching a missile, strictly following the applicable rules of engagement, as part of the international Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept initiative to strengthen the Kingdom’s air defense. According to the announcement, the Greek force continues its mission unhindered.
It is worth noting that on March 19, the Greek Patriot had successfully intercepted two Iranian ballistic missiles in the same area.
