US President Donald Trump has told the British newspaper The Independent that he is not currently in a position to say how he would react if the missing pilot of the US fighter jet shot down in Iran is hurt.
Trump said he is unable to comment on what his reaction would be if Iranian forces reach the downed fighter pilot, the British newspaper reports. “We hope that doesn’t happen,” Trump told the Independent.
Earlier, the US president had told NBC News television network that the downing of a US fighter jet would not affect negotiations to end the war with Iran.
