At least eight people were killed and 95 wounded as a result of the bombing of a bridge on the highway linking Tehran to the city of Karaj in western Iran, according to Godadullah Seif, the lieutenant governor of Alborz province, quoted by Fars news agency and the Islamic Republic’s state television.
US President Donald Trump earlier shared a video via Truth Social showing the destruction of “the largest bridge in Iran” in a bombing, commenting that it was time for Tehran to strike a deal “before it’s too late.”
“It is time for Iran to strike a deal before it is too late and there is nothing left of what could still be a great country,” he said.
