The rivalry between Giorgos Liagas and Lakis Lazopoulos is taking on an even greater dimension, with Adonis Georgiadis filing a lawsuit and a lawsuit against the well-known artist tomorrow. George Liagas made a harsh statement on Thursday morning in response to Lakis Lazopoulos’ comment about him on Wednesday night through Al Chandiri News.

“Adonis’ issues George you don’t play the game, you look it. And Liagas said “if I go too far, he’ll sue me again”. Because he knows the limits. He doesn’t know his, he knows mine,” Lakis Lazopoulos told Chandiri.

Jiorgos Liagas, a short time after the start of his show on Thursday morning, said the following: “Let me give a response to Lazopoulos. I can’t stand it, because yesterday I stayed at home because of the rain and I saw Lazopoulos. I saw Lazopoulos! I have to give him an answer from Lazopoulos at last! Because he comes out and wags his finger at me and others. He says that I am a friend of Adonis Georgiades. Once in my life I have seen him outside, when I was doing a radio show with my wife and I christened my first child, my second child, and his wife was a guest because we were doing a radio show together, and Adonis Georgiades came along. My only social interaction with Adonis Georgiades is this. I invite him as a journalist! And today I invited him, what can I do, the others don’t come out! So they call him… that proves that I have no friendly relationship?

Mr. Lazopoulos is confusing one thing. Because he always has a one-track mind. That is, when he was in love politically – don’t get me wrong – with Tsipras, then he would suck up to Tsipras and call everyone else names. Now that he has realised that the people have spat on Tsipras and that his comeback is not as triumphant as Tsipras expected, the author Tsipras is not just licking Tsipras, but he is shooting against Mitsotakis. Good for him.

What Mr Lazopoulos cannot understand is that there are some people, and this speaker is one of them, who, with the same ease that they shout at Mitsotakis, shout at Karamanlis, shout at the government that now has the scandals, can also shout at the opposition. He can shout at anything that seems to him to be a bad document. That’s what I do. But when he takes Liagas and doesn’t put the criticism I’m making of the government and puts everything else, he creates false and distorted impressions. That’s why I sent him the out letter, which he referenced again yesterday by making fun of me.

He’s confusing himself with everyone else. We, who have not been to any political leader’s house to watch TV together, have not gone to dinner parties with politicians, have not hung out with any political leader. No one! We interview them and if we happen to see them outside, we say hello, and he says hello. But I haven’t hung out with anyone. He’s hung out at houses, he’s eaten, he’s sat down, that’s how I know. So if he has personal relationships and he understands from himself what it is to suck up and make one-sided criticism, he has to understand that some others – and I’m not talking about others, I don’t care what he says about Portosalte or anybody, I’m talking about myself – I have a clear conscience. I hold Mitsotakis, I hold the government and I hold others who seem to me to be doing strange things. That’s how I’ve learned to do journalism. Criticizing everyone. Because no one is holding me back! What is logic? Nor do I have any personal relationship with anyone. That’s what Mr. Lazopoulos is confusing, who, by the way, because I saw him yesterday, is still just as talented in his humor. The truth is this.”

Minutes later, during a connection with Adonis Georgiades, Giorgos Liagas asked him if he had seen Chadiri. “I don’t see Lakis Lazopoulos. I avoid him for my peace of mind,” the Health Minister replied.

“I saw him yesterday. You know, he got us involved and together, said “I’m taking you out, I’m stoning you”, every time “that we’re friends” anyway, etc. etc. etc. He said a lot of things, it doesn’t matter now. I responded to what concerns me. Yesterday, basically, he said that you, who are always talking eight times on the channels, you don’t have the right to say that he is always talking negatively about you when he comes out eight times a year,” George Liagas said and Adonis Georgiades replied.

“What Mr. Lazopoulos does against me or against others is known to Greek society, so I remind you, for a long time he was on the political and social margins because of what he did last time. Now, as far as my lawsuit and my lawsuit is concerned, it will be filed tomorrow. The things he said, Mitsotakis will bring him as a witness, he will bring him, if he wants, to court… He will bring whoever he wants as a witness, I won’t tell him. He will be judged by a courtroom. If I am right, if he is right.”

The dialogue between Adonis Georgiades and Giorgos Liagas went as follows:

G.L. So tomorrow you’re going to sue him and sue him? Tomorrow?

A.G. Yes, of course, of course, of course.

G.L. Lawsuit, can you tell us the amount of the lawsuit, if you like?

A.G. It will not be too large. That is, it’s more symbolic. I don’t intend to get rich off of Mr. Lazopoulos.

.

G.L. The news that he is suing and being sued. Good. Now Lazopoulos will say he told me so he can say we had a pre-arranged date. Oh, my God. Let Lazopoulos understand that not everyone is the same as him, that there are some people who can’t stomach anyone. That they themselves… I mean, I’m picking on myself. I’m taking it out on everybody! Whatever.
