The singer referred to the criticism that Efi Thodi received from Angela Demetriou on J2US, explaining that she is focusing on her appeal to the youth and not on her colleague’s comments.
In the episode of the music show, which aired on Saturday, March 28, Angela Demetriou was a guest on the jury. So when Efi Thodi appeared on stage with Dj Deleasis, the singer was severely criticised by her colleague for her performance.
In a statement made by Efi Thodi on Happy Day, which aired today, Monday, she stressed that she did not listen well to Angela Demetriou’s comments, explaining that otherwise she would have responded to her in a different way. Moreover, he added that he was annoyed by her criticism.
As Efi Thodi said, “From her words, I understood that she called me out. I didn’t really listen to what she was saying, otherwise I would have treated her better. I would have told her. Since I am accepted by the youth and the people, it is none of her business what I do. I’m fine. I was annoyed by the one who told me off. No one else told me and she told me. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. I’m moving on because I have the people. I told you the people love me and my strength is the people.”
DJ Deleasis and Efi Thodi performed “Trelokoricho” on J2US, with Angela Demetriou standing up to some of her colleague’s missteps. In more detail, she said: “She missed it a bit at the beginning. You didn’t come in well. Why love? You being a professional, is it possible for you to not get into the time well? Effie was tired because she had a live show and that’s why… I love Effie very much and you know it. I’ve sung everything from island, folk, what can I do?”
