The 11th bilateral meeting of the Greek-Turkish Customs Authorities took place in Istanbul on 27 March 2026, with the aim of improving cooperation and achieving the target of bilateral trade worth 10 billion euros. dollars.
The meeting was held between the Turkish Deputy Minister of Commerce, Cezai Utsarmak, and the President of the Hellenic Customs Administration, Georgios Pitsilis. The meeting focused on issues of customs cooperation and facilitation of trade flows in the framework of the agreed objectives of the two countries.
The discussions focused on speeding up border crossings, strengthening existing infrastructure and increasing the capacity of customs to support the target of $10 billion in bilateral trade. dollars.
Specific projects and programmes were discussed during the meeting, including:
-The “Friendship Bridge” project on the “Ipsala-Gardens” line.
