The war in the Middle East continues with Iran claiming it has fired missiles at the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln which is in the region.
Iran’s navy made the announcement about the US aircraft carrier and warned that more similar strikes would follow.
According to the Iranian military’s Public Relations Office, cruise missiles fired from the coast to the sea successfully hit the USS Abraham Lincoln, Iran’s IRNA news agency reported.
The missiles even forced the aircraft carrier deployed in the Gulf region to “change its position.”
“We are constantly monitoring” the Abraham Lincoln’s movements, Iranian Navy commander Admiral Shahram Irani warned, noting that “once this enemy fleet enters the range of our missile systems, it will be the target of powerful strikes by the Iranian Navy.”
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bayr Galibaf warned the US today (Wednesday) not to “test” Iranians’ resolve to defend their country, as US media spoke of sending additional troops to the Middle East.
“We are following very closely all US moves in the region, especially the deployment of troops,” Ghalibov said in a post on X. “Do not test our determination to defend our country,” he stressed.
