This Wednesday afternoon, a 10-year-old child went into cardiac arrest at the Poseidonio Swimming Pool in Thessaloniki. A doctor and ambulance rescuers rushed to the scene and immediately applied a Specialized Life Support protocol.
The child recovered and, after being initially stabilized, was safely evacuated to the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki for further investigation and treatment of cardiac arrest.
A conventional ambulance, a Mobile Medical Unit with the participation of four rescuers and an ambulance doctor operated at the incident.
