In a surprise move, US President Donald Trump announced the temporary suspension of planned military operations for five days against Iran’s energy infrastructure, via a post on Truth Social.
Donald Trump announced that talks with Iran over the past two days had been “very good and productive”, noting that he had ordered the War Department to temporarily suspend military action against Iranian energy facilities for the next five days, “provided that an outcome is achieved in the ongoing meetings and talks”.
