Eleonora Meleti spoke about the stereotypical questions she receives about her daughter, Alexandra, and the participation of her husband, Thodoris Marosoulis, in her upbringing, on Athena Georgopoulou’s show “Parea mit Athina”.
“I remember that when I was a candidate, only I was the only one who accepted the question “with your child, what will you do?” The question that is still being asked is whether my husband helps me when I’m away,” Eleonora Meleti originally said.
Eleonora Meleti added: “My husband doesn’t help me when he’s a father, he just takes over his role. They ask me where I leave my child when I’m away. When I ask my husband when I leave my child when I leave him, he asks me when I leave my child. Where do I leave him? I leave him with his dad. He doesn’t help me, he’s a dad.”
Asked how easy it was for her daughter to adjust to her new schedule, since she is now away from home more, Eleonora Meleti replied.
She has understood. She has not raised any objections. She is tremendously supportive of the whole family system. Terribly organised and disciplined, and I leave nothing to chance. When I get on the plane, I’ve left behind in perfection what I need to leave behind.”
Eleonora Meleti also said, “I have a terrible fear of commitment, even though I’ve been with the same man for nine years…I have a man who understands what’s going on and plays it smart. Actually, he’s not playing it, he’s made up his mind that I’m quite closed, deeply emotional, but not outspoken. He’s figured out that behind this is a scared little girl and not a bitchy woman and he’s going with it.”
