According to data from the Directorate of Security and Maritime Borders Protection of the Headquarters of the Coast Guard – Greek Coast Guard, during May 2026, 64 incidents of illegal entry of foreigners into the country were recorded, with 2 arrests.663 persons.
At the same time, 72 traffickers were arrested and five boats used to transport them were seized.
In the area of illegal exit, four incidents were recorded, with the arrest of five foreigners who were found in Greek territory while attempting to cross illegally into other European countries. In addition, a trafficker was arrested, a vehicle was seized and two forged travel documents were detected.
